Whilst it is not necessary to remove your dogs collar at night, some owners (an experts alike) recommend doing so for a range of benefits.
The bottom line is that your dog will probably be fine if you leave their collar on all the time, but it’s always better to take it off at night and lean on the safe side when it comes to the health, wellness, and comfort of your canine companion.
